Insight: Discipline and faith sound like old-school virtues, but they're actually solving two completely different problems that most people confuse. Discipline is the daily grind—showing up when you don't feel like it, doing the unsexy work nobody sees. Faith is the harder part: believing the work matters when there's no proof yet, when the wins are still months or years away. A lot of people have one but not the other. You see people grinding constantly but burning out because they lost faith in why they're grinding. Then you see people with amazing vision but no discipline to actually build it. What makes this distinction matter is that it separates wanting from becoming. Anyone can want success. But wanting and actually getting there requires you to wake up tomorrow and do it again, and the day after that, knowing you might not see the payoff for a long time. That's where most people quit—not because the work was too hard, but because the faith ran out. The people who make it past that wall are the ones who've decided that the work itself is enough, at least for now, while keeping their eyes on something bigger they can't quite see yet.
