He who has never hoped can never despair — George Bernard Shaw

He who has never hoped can never despair

Author: George Bernard Shaw

Insight: You can't feel rock bottom without believing something better was possible. Hope isn't naive optimism—it's actually the thing that lets you experience real pain when plans fail. The apathy of never trying? That's not wisdom, it's just a different kind of loss.
