Allard K. Lowenstein (1929–1980) was an American civil rights activist and politician known for his work in promoting social justice and his involvement in the anti-Vietnam War movement. He served as a congressman from New York from 1969 to 1971 and was a key figure in the establishment of American political activism during the 1960s and 1970s. Lowenstein is also remembered for his efforts to address issues such as poverty, racial discrimination, and civil liberties.
