Grace Hopper was an American computer scientist and United States Navy rear admiral, known for her pioneering work in computer programming and her contributions to the development of early programming languages. She played a vital role in the creation of COBOL, one of the first high-level programming languages, and was instrumental in promoting the idea of machine-independent programming languages. Hopper's legacy includes her advocacy for women in technology and her famous quote, "It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission."
A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for.
If it’s a good idea, go ahead and do it. It’s much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.
It is often easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
