You can feel lonely and make the effort to call a friend instead of scrolling in bed. These small choices—repeated over time—are what actually shape who you become. This matters now because we're drowning in the myth that authenticity means letting every impulse become an action. But the real authenticity is harder: feeling the full range of human emotion while still choosing to be someone you respect. That's where freedom actually lives.
