Ward Cunningham is an American computer programmer best known for creating the first wiki, WikiWikiWeb, in 1995. He is a pioneer in software development and has significantly contributed to the fields of agile software development and Extreme Programming. Cunningham is also recognized for his work on the concept of the "technical debt" metaphor in software engineering.
