Kenji Miyazawa was a Japanese poet and author born on August 27, 1896, in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture. He is best known for his children's literature and whimsical, often surreal storytelling, with notable works including "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and "Ginga Tetsudō no Yoru."
