Huangbo Xiyun

Huangbo Xiyun was a prominent Chinese Zen Buddhist master of the Tang dynasty, known for his teachings on the direct experience of enlightenment and the nature of mind. He was the founder of the Huangbo school of Zen, which emphasized the importance of sudden realization and the ineffable aspects of Zen practice. His teachings were notably recorded in the "Transmission of Mind," influencing many later Zen masters.
