Thomas Cranmer was an English archbishop, theologian, and a key figure in the English Reformation during the 16th century. He is best known for his role in the development of the Book of Common Prayer and for advocating for the establishment of a Protestant church in England. Cranmer was eventually executed for heresy, becoming a martyr for his beliefs.
