Nkosi Johnson was a South African child activist born on February 4, 1989, in Johannesburg. He became a prominent figure in the fight against the stigma of HIV/AIDS after he publicly shared his story at the age of 11, advocating for the rights of children living with the virus. Nkosi's courage and advocacy helped raise awareness and changed perceptions around HIV/AIDS in South Africa until his passing on June 1, 2001.
