Born on May 25, 1898, he was known for his contributions to the literary world, publishing works by numerous acclaimed authors, including William Styron and Kurt Vonnegut. In addition to his publishing career, Cerf was a prominent figure on television, frequently appearing as a panelist on game shows such as "What's My Line?" He passed away on August 27, 1971.
