Burt Rutan is an American aerospace engineer and entrepreneur, best known for designing innovative aircraft and spacecraft, including the SpaceShipOne, the first privately funded spacecraft to reach suborbital space. He founded Scaled Composites in 1982, where he developed cutting-edge designs that have advanced aviation technology.
