Lady Gregory, born Isabella Augusta Persse in 1852, was an Irish playwright, folklorist, and theatre manager. She co-founded the Abbey Theatre in Dublin and played a crucial role in the Irish Literary Revival, known for her works that highlighted Irish folklore and culture, including plays like "The Rising of the Moon" and "The Deliverer." Gregory was also instrumental in promoting the works of other notable Irish writers, including W.B. Yeats and Sean O'Casey.
