George Blanda was an American football quarterback and placekicker who played 26 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL) from 1949 to 1975. He is best known for his time with the Oakland Raiders, where he became a legendary figure for his longevity and clutch performances, including leading the team to several playoff appearances. Blanda was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981.
