Ramana Maharshi (1879-1950) was an Indian sage and spiritual teacher, renowned for his teachings on self-enquiry and spiritual awakening. He achieved widespread recognition for his emphasis on the practice of asking "Who am I?" as a means to attain self-realization. His ashram in Tiruvannamalai became a center for spiritual seekers from around the world.
