Ben Carson is an American neurosurgeon, author, and politician, best known for his groundbreaking work in pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He gained national prominence for his accomplishments in medicine, particularly for successfully separating conjoined twins in 1987. In addition to his medical career, Carson served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2021.
